Here are some ways to volunteer on our project:
- Join our Tree Picking Team in one or more of these roles:
- Pick residential fruit trees in the Poway area as part of a team, led by a Pick Leader
- Deliver fruit from one location to another (any size vehicle can be used)
- Collect empty produce boxes from local grocery stores to be used at our picks
What’s involved: There is no fixed commitment. We have an on-line sign-up sheet showing upcoming picking jobs, and you sign up if you can.
2. Join our Garden Team:
What’s involved: This is a commitment of about an hour a week on your assigned day. You’ll work with a small team to tend our organic vegetable garden in North Poway Most teams work 8:00-9:00 or 8:30-9:30 a.m. All experience levels are welcome, including beginners. Time off for travel and other conflicting commitments is understood.
