Ways to Volunteer
To volunteer for any of the options below, submit a request through our contact form.
🍊Tree Picking Team
Join our Tree Picking Team and help harvest fruit in the Poway area. Volunteers can participate in one or more of the following roles:
- Fruit Picker
Work as part of a team to harvest fruit from residential trees, guided by an experienced Pick Leader. - Fruit Transporter
Deliver harvested fruit between locations. Any size vehicle can be used. - Box Collector
Pick up empty produce boxes from local grocery stores for use during fruit picks.
What’s involved:
There is no ongoing commitment required. We use an online sign-up sheet that lists upcoming picking jobs—you simply sign up for the dates and roles that work for you.
🥕 Garden Team
Help care for our organic vegetable garden in North Poway.
What’s involved:
- A commitment of approximately one hour per week on your assigned day
- Work with a small, friendly team tending the garden
- Typical shifts run 8:00–9:00 a.m. or 8:30–9:30 a.m.
- All experience levels are welcome, including beginners
We understand that travel and other scheduling conflicts happen, and time off is always accommodated.
